Tal Tamir - Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Tal Tamir has a vision: to make wireless technology a way of building better platforms, rather than merely replacing a cable. As CEO of Wilocity, Tal is leading an all-star team to develop and bring to market the next generation of mullti-gigabit wireless technology, designed to enhance users' Wi-Fi experience and to extend computing platforms' functionality beyond their physical boundaries. Tal's background includes 17 years leading strategic initiatives and directing engineering teams for major networking and wireless technology companies.
Prior to founding Wilocity in 2007, Tal served as Director of Wireless Strategic Planning at Intel, leading the wireless initiatives for Intel's groundbreaking Centrino® mobile technology platform. Tal joined Intel from Conexant, where as General Manager he directed development for voiceband and broadband modem technologies. Tal also served in various management positions in Rockwell semiconductor and Comsys.
Tal received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) as well as a master's degree in business administration (MBA), from Kellogg School of Management. He holds a number of patents ranging from modem technologies to methodologies for increasing the speed of wireless connections.
Dany Rettig - Chief Operating Officer, Co-Founder
As Wilocity's Chief Operating Officer, Dany Rettig manages operations at Wilocity, leading efforts to deliver 60 GHz products through the different programs and into high-volume manufacturing. Dany has nearly 20 years of industry experience in building and guiding successful engineering teams, as well as experience developing and producing 10 generations of wired and wireless chipsets for the PC industry.
Dany most recently served as General Manager of Intel's Centrino mobile technology wireless group, overseeing four engineering sites and representing more than 900 employees worldwide. While at Intel, he founded the company's Fast Ethernet analog team and created Intel's wireless engineering infrastructure, building it into one of the best engineering teams in the industry. Dany's engineering teams are widely considered as responsible for making Intel the number-one Ethernet and Wi-Fi chipset provider.
Dany earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology. He holds patents on noise reduction of a complex mixed-signal multi-PHY chip and an Ethernet MAC protocol extension, with other patents pending. While at Intel, he received two Intel achievement awards, the highest honor of Intel awards.
Yaron Elboim - Vice President of Engineering
As Wilocity's Vice President of Engineering, Yaron Elboim is responsible for Wilocity's engineering team, comprised of engineers working in radio frequency , design, system, verification, backend, software , architecture definition, intellectual property and packaging. Yaron brings many years of industry experience in building and guiding engineering teams. Yaron is also an excellent resource for technical knowledge regarding all design disciplines, PCI Express TM (PCIe) technologies and high-volume manufacturing flow.
Prior to joining Wilocity, Yaron spent six years at Intel, most recently as Engineering Manager for the 10G Ethernet controller product line. He also served as Engineering Manager for Gigabit silicon products and Logic Design Manager in the LAN Access Division. Additionally, Yaron contributed to the architecture and definition of the PCIe specification. Before Intel, he held various design and design management positions at Oren Semiconductor, a company focused on high-definition television (HDTV) physical layer (PHY) products that was acquired by Zoran Corporation.
Yaron earned a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering, graduating with honors from the Israel Institute of Technology. He holds several patents in various design areas, including some in PCIe technology and received a number of company achievement awards for his design work at Intel.
Gal Basson - Vice President of Communications Architecture, Co-Founder
As Vice President of Communications Architecture, Gal Basson is responsible for Wilocity's standardization efforts as well as defining and implementing the PHY and MAC architecture for the company's ground-breaking multi-gigabit chipsets. Gal has a long history of success in similar endeavors while at Intel Corporation.
As the PHY System Group Manager at Intel, Gal led the group that developed five generations of Centrino Wi-Fi products and he had various roles on Intel's 10/100 Ethernet design team - one of Intel's most profitable Ethernet projects. While at Intel, Gal served as the Chairman of the Enhanced Wireless Consortium (EWC) technical group, a special-interest group tasked with breaking the 802.11n specification development deadlock and successfully delivering the specification that became the basis for the IEEE802.11n specification. He received multiple Intel Achievement and Divisional Recognition Awards for his accomplishments. Prior to Intel, Gal worked at Gidel, a startup company developing FPGA solutions for customized applications.
Gal received his bachelor's degree, Cum Laude, in electrical engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology. He holds several patents, all in the area of wireless communications, and is a member and recognized leader within the IEEE professional organization.
Alon Yehezkely - Vice President of Radio Engineering
Alon Yehezkely leads Wilocity's RF, Microwave, Analog, mixed-signal, and antenna engineering. . Wilocity radio engineering designs range from the modeling of basic chip-scale elements, through the definition of the radio topology, to the development of active antenna array modules..
Alon has over 15 years of experience in analog electronics . Prior to Wilocity, Alon spent four years at Intel, developing mixed-signal and analog circuitry for Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 gigabit Ethernet analog front-ends. After joining Wilocity in 2007, he developed circuitry for Wigig applications. Further, he designed and directed solutions for active antenna array modules involving packaging technologies, and smart antenna arrays.
Alon earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and a master's degree in microelectronics from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. Alon has authored or co-authored several patents issued or pending in the areas of millimeter-wave radio.
Mark Grodzinsky - Vice President of Marketing
As Wilocity's Vice President of Marketing, Mark leads the company's global marketing, product definition, strategic alliances and marketing communication for the company's introduction of groundbreaking wireless technologies to consumers and businesses. With a background in both engineering and marketing management, Mark has spent the past decade immersed in the wireless networking industry and has played leadership roles in guiding Wi-Fi development through his participation on several industry boards and standards bodies. Mark currently serves as the Marketing Chairman and Board Member for the Wireless Gigabit Alliance, which was formed to establish a unified specification for 60 GHz wireless technology. Mark is also the Chair of Wi-Fi Alliance's 60 GHz Gigabit Wireless Marketing Task Group. Prior to that, Mark was the Chairman of the Enhanced Wireless Consortium and of the Wi-Fi Alliance (TGn) Marketing Task Group.
Mark joined Wilocity from Intel, where he led the product definition and marketing activities for Intel's line of 802.11n Wi-Fi products, for the Centrino mobile technology platform. Previously, he was a Product Line Manager at Mobilian, a start-up company making Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chipsets and software; Mobilian was acquired by Intel in late 2003. Mark holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the Harvard Business School.
Jorge Myszne - Vice President of Products and Sales, Co-Founder
As Wilocity's Vice President of Products and Sales, Jorge Myszne leads Wilocity's Products Engineering Organization, from pre-sales activities to launch. Jorge works with different customers and partners, always looking for new product opportunities as well as new partnerships. As Vice President of Products and Sales, Jorge combines extensive managerial experience with hands-on system expertise and his vast theoretical knowledge of different wireless technologies. He has proven experience and know-how in defining, integrating and launching high-volume manufacturing wireless products, combined with radio-frequency, digital and software expertise.
Prior to co-founding Wilocity, Jorge worked in the Wi-Fi development group at Intel, leading the systems engineering group. Jorge led the definition and integration of several generations of Intel's Wi-Fi products. Earlier, Jorge worked as a professor's assistant and researcher at the Universidad de la Republica in Montevideo, Uruguay, where he taught programmable logic courses and developed a full chip design from architecture to layout. Previously, he worked as a System Design Engineer and Manager of the technical department for Microsur SRL (Montevideo), a company focusing on industrial automation systems design and implementation.
Jorge earned a bachelor's and master's degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the Universidad de la Republica. He has authored or co-authored several patents issued or pending in the areas of wireless and logic design and is a member of the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA).
Dror Meiri - Vice President of Business Development
As Wilocity's Vice President of Business Development, Dror is in charge of creating new business opportunities for the company, through establishing new markets, new market segments and partnerships. With more than 15 years experience in several engineering, marketing and business positions Dror is leading the company’s business engagements for the next generations and its strategic directions.
Prior to joining Wilocity, Dror served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Siano Mobile Silicon, where he was in charge of product planning and marketing, strategic partnerships and sales to leading mobile devices OEMs. Before Siano, Dror held several R&D management and system engineering positions at start-up companies, including Oren Semiconductors (that was acquired by Zoran Corporation) and Surf Communication Solutions.
Dror earned a bachelor's (with honors) and master's degree in electrical engineering, from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, as well as a master's degree in business administration (MBA), from Kellogg School of Management (Kellogg-Recanati Executive MBA program) . He holds several patents in various digital communication and systems engineering areas.
David Chang - Director of Sales, APAC
Dr. David Chang is the Director of Sales in the APAC region for Wilocity Ltd, an Israeli based company that is the leading developer of 60 GHz multi-gigabit wireless chipsets for the mobile computing, consumer electronics and peripheral markets. Dr. Chang has extensive hands-on experience in the high tech industry, with expertise in strategic alliances, business development, sales and marketing, business operations and corporate investment. For the past decade he has worked to link Israeli core technology with Asian product design and manufacturing capability. Before joining Wilocity, David worked for several other Israeli high tech companies in the role of sales operation and business development. David has also worked for several multination companies, including IBM and Motorola, with a specialty in the semiconductor and communication industry. David holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and MS degrees of EE and Computer Science, both from Texas Tech University.
Zipi Slavin - Vice President of Human Resources
As a member of Wilocity's management team, Zipi Slavin is responsible for the company's human resources from hiring to people development.
Prior to joining Wilocity, Zipi served in several HR positions at both Intel and Engel Group; her strengths include both the procedural and the personal aspects of HR. She is skilled at establishing and carrying out HR initiatives and procedures such as personnel recruitment, compensation and benefits programs, as well as in training and organizational communication. Zipi excels at the people level, enabling fast growth organization that preserve high motivation and open communication.
Zipi earned a bachelor's degree in human resources from Haifa University.
